When and how was formed the band, and why the name "TORNADO KID"?. The members of the band.
The band was formed in 2013, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. All members quit their previous bands & were searching for something new. That's how we built. We called the TORNADO KID without any serious reason just liked this name because it reflects our life style. Starring: Dima the Dog - vocals, Ross Spachzevzky - drums, Eugene Chebotaev - bass, backing vocals & Nick Kash, Ivan Magadan - guitars.

What is the musical style?

We call it "Booze Rock". There are too much tags these days that's why we chosen simple name for our genre.

What are your musical influences? The musicians of reference.

We try to play something old school but with modern sound. Inspired by bands like AC/DC, Pantera, Nirvana, Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, Hank Williams 3.

Bands in your country that you follow or do you like?

In my point of view, they are Grizzly Knows No Remorse, Follow The White Rabbit, The Barber, Smex, WLVS, Siberian Meat Grinder, Lucifer In The Sky With Diamonds. It's not the whole list of course, there are many more. I advise u to begin your acquaintance with Russian rock & metal music from this great bands. Enjoy.

What other genres, styles listen?

Different. Some of us like punk & country, others listen to djent & prog metal, etc. It's all pretty different.

Why sing in english?

Because russian language sucks. It ain't sound good in music at all.

What is the subject matter of his songs and what are inspired to compose?

Our songs are all about life & death, love & hatred, fun & misery. Simple things we use to do while living.
It's some kind of struggling inside the inner mind of each person. Everyday we have to make decisions that could cause some good or bad consequences. And our songs are the philosophy about this consequences.

What songs have recorded in a professional manner, Demo, EP, Single, etc?

We have a lot of demos & we are working on making them completed for studio session. EP's are recorded at home, mixed & mastered by Giuseppe Bassi, Italy.
We have 3 EP's for now: Booze'n'Blues, Surrounded States of America (Cover EP), Black Heart Blues & we are working on our first LP, it will be on itunes this fall. You may check out our stuff here http://tornadokid.bandcamp.com/

How was the work of each EPs (production, selection of songs, recording, etc.)

Total DIY! For example, cover EP was recorded in the tonometer shop. Eugene used to work there, so were making it after his shifts when the shop was closed. Acoustic EP was recorded by Dima in the empty apartments filled only with a darkness & alcohol. We prefer unusual ways though.

They have a video clip "Wild Bones" which I really liked. Who is the film director, how they felt doing this job?

Our friend Yana White ttps://www.facebook.com/white.yana
was a director for the video. We spent all day to make the room & shoot this vid. It was tough but fun.

It has been very expensive to carry out the work record, the video clip and LP project that lies ahead?
Yeah. Recording industry is pretty expensive even if U make records in the basement not in the studio. But we did it by our own, spending our money. Anyway, no pain no gain.

Each of you, where they studied music?

Only Eugene (bass player) has a musical graduation, others were studied by themselves.

How time they dedicate rehearse and how they are organized to work?

Usually, we not stressed while rehearsals are going. We drink some beer & having fun because we are the best friends, we are the family even more!

Where are presented regularly and how many presentations have since the formation of the band?

We played a lot of shows in our hometown, played on the big Russian Festival in Yaroslavl (you don't know this place anyway), also we've been in Finland. We are a young band & there are a lot places to visit soon.

Russian Festival in Yaroslavl, how is it?... Tell us about your experience.

It called Dobrofest. 3 days of rock'n'roll in 10'000 people crowd. It was just incredible, no complains except damn hot & dry climate in central Russia.

How important is for you the aesthetic on stage (costume, performance, communication with the public, lights, sound, etc)

We are who we are & that's most important.

As is the public that follows your band?

Various! It may be head banging 30-year men in Slayer T-shirts or young ladies with a dirty wishes.

Ladies, girls ... are your "muses"?

For sure!

What are the most requested songs?

For now, "Wild Bones" (the first song we've made) & "Black Heart Blues".

In places where acting charge a fixed cashed by presentation, or depending on where the price varies?

As I said, we are a young band that's why we don't have a lot of money for our performances. But still, we have a free drinks & women. Anyway, you should spend much time to be a big band, no complains.

What place in the world, would you like play ever?

Everywhere. Touring is always fun.

What is the main means of dissemination of their music?

Internet & live shows.

The local media (radio, tv, etc) what space grant them to disseminate his work?

This kind of music will never be on Russian radio or TV, that's pity. Putin & his bastards will deny, fuck them.

Do you have a music manager or representative?

No manager, no label ... yet.

Then it is hard to find places where to pay them money for their performances?.Although they have not worked with a manager, what do they think of the music managers?

Russian rock music industry used to be more tolerant for a new genres. They will never accept aggressive or experimental for TV or radio or even simple advertisement. It's all because music companies sell only well-tried products. It's like: "If they bought it before they will do it over & over again", nothing new. Musicians deserve better! There are a lot of awesome bands that can't reach their audience for many reasons. No suitable labels, no good managers for a new music, etc.. That's pity but still this is how we roll.

What is the support they receive from their families, friends and colleagues of study or work?

Everyone we appreciates our work, they give us a great support.

Government policies that apply in your country for musicians?

No good. No support from government, all the musicians do their business on their own.

Why you like the art of music?

It's cool to make records, to be on stage, to have something that merges you. Anyway, we can't do anything else better than we do rock.

What is the message wishing to transmit to those who listen?

Nothing. We just play our rock'n'roll & if someone wants to understand it let them do it themselves.

What are the dreams and the expectations that have?

Perform, tour, record & love.
